First time in over 3 months I have come home to an empty house and am spending the night on my own ..... Trev is hanging out with a mate for the night .... feels very very weird ....... funny how you can get used to things in a relative short period of time :-?

The spa was delivered today, but couldn't be installed as it wouldn't fit in through the arch, the width was ok, but I totally forgot about the height .... grrrrr .... lucky I have fantastic neighbours that by pulling down some of the fence can get it in through their place ..... so now have to wait till Sat :(

Tonight my friend Phil popped in, good timing as he helped Trev put up the bamboo fencing .... it's looking good :)

Had a lovely lunch with Trev and his mum at The Lakes Hotel (forgot to take my daily photo there), and my turn to cook tonight ..... Lasagne :)

Fairly quiet day at home, haven't seen much of each other during the week due to work, so veg out movie day. Paul came round in the morning to install our power point for the spa, which should arrive this week. I shopped. Trev cooked and this is the end result .... Moroccan Harira Soup ... and it was yum :)

Still on nights ...... this is one of the 12 Bays we have in ICU, lots of equipment, a more technical side of nursing what I had previously worked in, but I like it :)

Day 83: March 24 2010

Night duty, at least I got to work with Lochie, who is loads of fun and makes the night just that much better. Today is also my eldest son Sam's birthday, he turned 30 .... how did this happen... I don't feel old enough to for him to be that old ... lol :)

Day 82: March 23 2020

Mia was de-sexed yesterday, and like most things, she was totally unfazed by it. The funniest thing, infact it seemed weird, was that she didn't meow after it, until this morning .... Mia is normally very vocal ... lol.

Busy day, dropped Mia to the vet, off to Bunnings, them some shopping, some domestics, all before heading off to work for the afternoon :)

Day 80: March 21 2010

Our first concert together ..... Massive Attack ..... and it was absolutely awesome. Was held in the new venue at the Entertainment Centre .... very impressed

First we headed off to the Gov for preconcert tea and drinks with Bec and Dave, an absolutely awesome couple :)

And at the concert we ran into, and so sat with Adrienne and Anton ..... life is good :)

Day 79: March 20 2010

Busy, busy day, up early, voted, finished pulling up the carpet, knocked down the outside garden bed and cleaned up all the left over cement, off to Kazzy for some bargins and out to tea with my gorgeous son Sam and his beautiful wife Amelia. It's Sam's birthday this week (yep my boy's birthday's are a week apart). Sam and Amelia are off overseas for 5 weeks at the end of the month :)

We have just about done as much as we can to the yard, still needs a pergola but that has to wait till my son comes back from overseas, so time to start inside, first job, rip up the carpet everywhere except the bedrooms :)

I was supposed to work a night duty, but work is quiet and overstaffed, so the offer of the night off was gladly accepted. I have had a lovely relaxing day, a princess day, Trev worked all day, but also when he came home he watered the lawn, put our new solar lights together and cooked tea .... how spoilt am I :)It is also my youngest son Simon's birthday today, so whilst I couldn't spent it with him (he's in Esperance) I did get to have a lovely chat with him on the phone :)

As I have written previously, we have only recently caught up with our Dad after many years of separation, so it was off to Mannum for a family picnic, awesome, got to meet my Dad's wife's daughter Bec and her family as well .... confused??? me too ..... lol :)

The majority of the clean up has been done, lawn is ordered to be picked up in the morning, soil will be delivered early arvo, so time to veg out wit Trev and play golf on the Wii ..... I won btw ..... hehehehe :)

As I worked a 12 hour shift yesterday I didn't do my daily photo, so am taking two for today. This is my little weekend project, I am hopeful I will have lawn in this area by Sat night ..... lots of clearing, organising, ordering ... so better hop to it :)

Day 69: March 10 2010

I was supposed to go back to work today after 5 days off, but work was quiet, and in actual fact I wasn't well. so had another day off, and now poor Trev has what I had, the joys off co-habitation ... sad faces ..... lol :)

Day 68: March 9 2010

I had lunch with Quinny and Kazzy today, had been a while since we had caught up ... I just love these girls so much. I forgot to take a picture at lunch so took one as I was driving home, well not so much driving but waiting in traffic. Currently we have road closures due to the Clipsal 500 happening, so what would be normally a 15 minute trip took me over an hour. It took 25 minutes to cover 500 meters at one point. Oh well, it only happens for a week once a year:)

Day 67: March 8 2010

Today I spent a lovely afternoon with Andrena, Lou, Emily, her daughter Kasey, Donna and Tim (Emily and Kasey left before I took the piccy). I have known Andrena for about 15 years but only recently reconnected with her, and through her met the others. These are quality people, fabulous and so much fun, and it is a priveledge to call them friends :)

Day 66: March 7 2010

Overall we live a pretty quiet life, am pretty happy to stay at home, watch movies, listen to music, and generally just hang out together which I think is pretty awesome, I spose it means we actually like each other and enjoy each others company. Today we have had a pretty chilled day, recovering from such a busy, productive day yesterday :)

The concrete is poured, the boys did an absolutely awesome job, it was a big job and they excelled. Trev is teaching me that doing jobs around the house and having fun go together (I can be a bit of a stress head at times .... go figure .. lol lol). We still need to do the finishing touches, put a bit of lawn in at the back, clean up, (build the pergola, although that's still a couple of months away as my son the carpenter is off overseas for a couple of months) but at least we are ready for the arrival of the spa, should be here in less than two weeks..... yee hah :)

Again I didn't take a daily photo, so thought I would share this. Above is a photo of me and my sisters and brother. However, I also have a half sister and brother from my dad's second marriage (pictured below) they both live in Qld now. I remember meeting them many years ago when we were all so young, but have recently reconnected because of facebook. My baby sister is pregnant with her first child, what an awesome time for her, and I am aiming, hopefully with my other sisters, to visit her and get to know her and my brother, and of course meet my new nephew sometime in the very near future :)

I didn't take my daily photo today as when I am on nights basically all I do is work and sleep, however my photo of the day is this one, which is the first time that Trevor and I met. I so fancied him, couldn't stop checking him out, anyway took us nearly a year before we finally got together. I actually think, that having the time just being friends and getting to know each other certainly has made a difference ..... personally I have always believed that you couldn't make a relationship from friendship, because you needed that inital lust, well in this case the initial lust was there, just circumstances dictated that we were friends initally ... glad that has changed :)

Nearly forgot my photo again ... oops. My youngest son Simon came to visit today, he is off to Port Headland to work from next week .... it's a long way. We went out for lunch to celebrate his birthday as he will be away on it :( I am having an incredibly happy day, perhaps it's because over the weekend I have seen all my favourite people, my sons Sam and Simon,and daughter in law Amelia, my sister Chrissy and her husband Kev, Trev's mum, and of course I am sharing my life with the one I love, the man of my dreams :)

Day 59: Feb 28 2010

My son Sam came over today so Sam could help Trev (or was it the other way around lol lol) with the final setting out (laying of plastic and mesh and setting levels) so we are all ready to pour the concrete for our slab. I got to hang out with my gorgeous daughter in law Amelia ... woohoo. Trev's mum came over later, her first visit at our place. She and I went to see Austen's Women, it was such an awesome show, highly recommend it :)

Day 58: Feb 27 2010

Since we are in the process of establishing our entertainment area we decided that we should get a new bbq. The old one is just a basic flat top one, has served us well, but the time has come to upgrade. It came in flat packs, but we managed to put it together with relative ease, and everything worked first time. Cooked an awesome roast in it ..... yummo :)

I actually forgot to take my daily photo today, oh well. It was an interesting day, won't go into it, but it was also both Trevor's dad Brian, and my exhusband Peter's birthday (they're both deceased) so a bit of an emotional day, but also a celebration of two wonderful men's lives :)
